This live remote webinar will be a panel discussion with four seasoned social workers doing very different roles in the profession. We will learn the ins and outs of each of their journeys and the different aspects of each role. Following the presentation, the panel discussion will then explore provocative questions around some of the challenges/rewards of their work.
Learning Objectives:
Identify what a day looks like in each of their professions, including: school counseling, management in advance care planning, medical travel and hospice social work.
What are the typical expectations from employers, what stigma is associated with each role and how do we navigate that?
What does our society see social workers as versus what the reality is for each of these roles?
Understand the challenges and rewards in each of these social work roles and be able to apply some of the interventions used in our day to day work.
